Before Paul became an apostle and received the title of Saint Paul, he went by the name of Saul and was committed to the persecution of the church (BibleStudyTools 2019). One day when Saul was travelling from Jerusalem to Damascus to arrest some Jews he was confronted by the resurrected Christ in a great light (BibleStudyTools 2019). He was blinded for three days but eventually his eyesight was restored and he began to preach that Jesus Chirst was indeed the Jewish Messiah and Son of God (BibleStudyTools 2019). Being both a Roman and Jewish citizen he preached to both groups, started several churches in both Asia Minor and Europe, and became one of the most influential people of the Apostolic age for the glory of Christ (BibleStudyTools 2019). The story of Paul shows us that no matter how many bad things you have done in your past you are never so far gone that God cannot still use you for amazing things in this world.
